Should I Call GC Services?
You received a letter in the mail, or phone message from GC Services. They probably asked you to call them back at the GC Services Number, which is either a local number or their 800 number at 800-756-6524.
BUT BEFORE YOU CALL…..you need to understand the consequences of paying GC services.
Consequences of Calling GC Services Number
Before you call GC Services, you should first understand who GC Services is and what they are all about.
GC Services is a collections agency whose sole purpose is to get your money. They are not here to help you, advise you of your legal rights, or act in your best interest.
As an attorney, I owe my clients a fiduciary duty to act in their best interest. When you pay a traffic ticket with GC Services, you aren’t just getting your license back (sometimes when you pay GC Services you STILL won’t get your license back). There are other issues at play besides your license:
- your criminal record (you will get a misdemeanor for failure to appear under VC 40508 if you pay GC Services);
- your DMV record and insurance rates (you will automatically get points on your DMV record if your ticket was a moving violation, which will cause your insurance rates to rise dramatically);
- the amount of fines you’re paying (you will pay exorbitant fines to GC Services, much of which can be mitigated, even after the cost of hiring me to handle the ticket for you).
Call GC Services Number or Call an Attorney
You have two options: call GC Services, or call an attorney. Ok, you can actually do both, but I would recommend calling me first, for the reasons mentioned above. I will advise you of your legal rights and the consequences of paying GC Services. I can be reached at 888-250-8450.
If you feel that in your situation you’d rather pay GC Services, then that’s up to you. I’d be happy to advise you of the pros and cons of doing so (hint: there are more cons than pros when it comes to paying GC Services!). My number again is 888-250-8450, or you can use the contact form below.
